Ok ladies sorry it has taken me a while to get my act together. Here are the details for the exchange

You have to stitch, finish, make up and post making sure your exchange partner receives before their start date, for example I have to post so Lorraine receives by or before the 12th March. I will send everyone an email with your partners address.

Tracy - 13th Feb till 12th March
Lorraine - 12th March till 9th April
Cath - 9th April till 14th May
Cucki - 14th May till 11th June

Please post to say you have posted to your partner and make sure you take pics of what you have received and post to say you have received your exchange so your partner knows. Please remember if you post late or have any problems please let me know.

Another New Year anyone up for an exchange !!!!

Hello everyone I decided in light of the last exchange and the problems to let this blog go quiet for a while, however we are into a new year now so I thought I would start the ball rolling again with a small exchange.

The chart will be Kelmscott Mini Monogram Alphabet from the Hornbook kit (please note I will only be providing the chart finishing will be up to you), I thought it would be a nice idea to stitch and finish the initial of the person you are posting to (example; if I was posting to Hazel I would stitch H) then everyone would end up with their own initial stitched by another person. I was thinking of starting this exchange on the 13th February 2012 and giving 4 weeks for stitching and posting.

If you are interested in joining in with the exchange (new members welcome) could you please comment on this post no later than 22nd January 2012, please do not sign up to this exchange if you think you will have a problem committing to the deadlines. Any new members please be aware of the guidelines, the link can be found in side bar.

Email Account Hacked

My email has been hacked, all my contacts have been sent an email that I am in Scotland stranded and need money...PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THIS....I am safe and well at home!

The b*****d has also cleared all my contacts etc out of the account too...I have now terminated the email so it is now dead and set up a new one...but I have lost all my friends email addresses...therefore please could you leave your email on the post on my blog ONLY...the link to this post is here...all my comments are for blog owner approval, so I won't publish any of the comments, but they will come through to my email so I can have your email address, I will then delete the comment hence it will not appear on my blog...hope this makes sense.

Hey everyone sorry I haven't posted I am having just awful problems with blogger for some reason it keeps signing me out it is driving me mad.

Right it looks like Cindymae posted on the 28th April, but I didn't receive (good old Royal Mail) so unforunately that means that I don't have the chart to finish the exchange. I still had to post to Cath and Faye (I had two to do because of the mess with Ranae). I am sorry that this has happened but I guess it cannot be helped, sorry it has taken this long to post an update but Cindymae only recently emailed Cath about it, although I did email her on the 27th May not sure if she has been having email problems.

If anyone has any ideas for another exchange, please feel free to put ideas forward or knows anyone else who would like to join in and be added to the blog. Just post the comments under this post.

Hi Faye. Thanks for posting. I seem to be having trouble leaving comments on blogger at the minute. It keeps logging me out and won't let me reply. This is what I made for CindyMae. I changed it a bit. Used my own colours and beads and did them slightly differently than on the chart. I used the buttons Barb passed on to me when she sent me hers. Glad you like it Cindy. x

I received my package today and I just simply love it. Hazel, thank you so much. Your finishing is just wonderful and I can not wait to display it at Christmas. It may have to be displayed for a while now as I just can not seem to put it away with Christmas decorations.

I do not have a working camera at this time so I am hoping that Hazel has a pick she can send me to post?? Hint Hint Hazel!

What a lovely surprise I have had today, a parcel from Faye all the way from the US. Inside were these delightful ornies and so neatly stitched and just so absolutely adorable. Thankyou Faye so much I love them and they will be in a place of honour on my tree this year. We are away on Saturday for a week, but when I get back I shall be getting bits and pieces together to stitch this for the next person on the list. Faye said she really enjoyed stitching these and I am sure I shall too.

Hi everyone, another update Renee has not posted to Cindy Mae, I have been unable to get a response from Renee so I am not sure of the reasons for this. I have asked Renee to return the chart to myself and I will be removing Renee from the blog.

Chars has unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances has had to decline from Round 2 as well, Thank You for letting me know this Chars. So I have re-shuffled the Round 2 list, Cindy Mae apologies for popping you on the end but I wanted to make sure that everyone received a stitched item. I have started the Round back up from September which gives Renee more than enough time to post the chart back.

I will e-mail everyone with their new dates and partner including addresses by the end of the week.

Thank You Faye for offering to get the group going again with this and apologies that this has happened, hopefully we will be back on track in no time at all.

I received this lovely project from Annette B. She did an awesome job on the finishing. It is already hanging beside me in my home office. Life has been crazy for me from a computer crash, upper/lower endoscopy for erosive gastritis, youngest daugher graduating from high school, financial aid for her college, etc. has been some of the issues as to why I was "lost" for a while. I picked my needle up for the first time last night since January and am happy to be back. I apologize for taking so long but am committed to the stitching cause and it feels good! Thanks again Annette.

Hi everyone I have had an idea to do a light hearted freebie exchange of the following design from Jardin Prive there are two designs I think for added fun wait for it lol, there are two different designs you can do either, if you look under free charts on the Jardin Prive website you can see there are different colour schemes as well or you can just chose your own, the only thing I am insisting on is keeping the wording in English, otherwise the world is your oyster.

Finished

I have finished the Ornaments and will post it on Tuesday after Easter. I am just so thankful to have finished this. I fell and hurt my wrist and then got the flu where it ended up on my chest and severe bronchitis. Now I have a chronic sinus infection which is giving me constant headaches.

I was on the home stretch with putting it together when smoke started pouring out of my sewing machine. We quickly unplugged it and DH said that is it - it will never go again. When the smoke cleared I started the machine up and it sew beautifully. Phewwww.

I am really pleased with how it turned out.

I decided to keep it as one round everyone has two months for stitching and posting out please make sure that your partner receives their stitched piece and chart before the 1st of the month so as they also have two months i.e if you are January to February make sure your partner receives before the 1st March.

Please Read - Round 2 timescale

I have worked out the timescale for this round and allowing two months for each person this will take the round to the end of August 2011, so the possible option is to split the round into two and have two groups and two different charts, views on this would be greatly appreciated or if everyone is happy enough for the round to run that long I can just leave it as one group.

The Story behind the Chart

Anna, Snowy, Bitsy and Emma lived in a little New England town in the mid-1800s. All four stayed friends throughout their lives, sharing their joys and sorrows as well as any good recipe (called "receipt" back then) that came along. Each one of them loved to bake, so one day a week, for over 50 years, they gathered together and did a week's worth of baking for all four families. Sharing the work made this necessary household chore more enjoyable for them all. During their time together they talked and laughed, and sometimes cried. We designed Four Friends Sampler in tribute to girlfriends everywhere.

I received my package in the mail yesterday and it is just simply gorgeous!! Thank you so much Tracy! The finishing is just wonderful and I love it so much! I am not sure that my finishing of it will add up though! The picture don't do it justice at all in my opinion, it is more gorgeous in person!Thank you again Tracy!
